A good example is Meliodas in the Seven Deadly Sins, since he is who we, the story and Elizabeth focus on and is ultimately the one to take out the demon king. Akame is the main character as she is the one that Tatsumi, the story and probably us focused on the most throughout the story, and she really is the main driving force of the plot.
